Assesments

  • SEND within the Early Years
We conduct a brief observation of the child in their setting and engage in discussions with key staff members. We provide recommendations and a detailed report. Focus areas could include early play, focus and attention, speech, communication, and social skills, self-care needs, and fine and gross motor skills.
  • Pupil Learner Profile - our most popular assessment
We carry out a short assessment of an individual pupil’s learning profile, including phonological awareness, reading ability and comprehension, spelling accuracy, number screening, working memory, and handwriting and fine motor skills. We provide a report detailing a summary of strengths and needs, recommendations, and suggested interventions.
  • Speech, Communication and Language Needs
We offer targeted assessments, intervention plans, and resources for pupils with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN). We aim to enhance the communication skills of pupils awaiting NHS speech and language therapy. We provide strategies to empower and upskill staff and parents, enabling them to offer effective communication support.
  • Social Skills and Emotional Literacy
We observe pupils and conduct 1:1 activity within the setting. We engage in discussions with key staff members. We provide practical resources and recommendations based on our findings to enhance the pupil’s social interactions and emotional literacy skills.
  • Sensory Processing Differences
We conduct a detailed analysis of a pupil’s sensory preferences based on observation, parental questionnaire, and teacher questionnaire. Although this is NOT a diagnostic assessment, it can be very useful in identifying barriers within the environment that impact learning.
  • Dyslexia Screener and Dyslexia Profile
We utilise a tool to assess ability, attainment, and diagnostic skills, aligning pupils against precise benchmarks to identify dyslexic tendencies. Additionally, we conduct a comprehensive evaluation of literacy, processing, and memory skills to create a detailed profile of a pupil's strengths and challenges, offering tailored recommendations for support and intervention. Please note, this is NOT a diagnostic assessment.
  • Visual Stress/Visual Discomfort - COMING SOON
We use a screening tool to explore the range of symptoms and distortions related to visual stress. We establish the best single or combination of overlay colours and the need for other initial accommodations such as paper colour, screen filters, and appropriate lighting. We provide a report and overlay.
